Istanbul employs a combination of high and low tech methods to keep this historic city clean. Late at night and early in the morning it is common to see large brigade of sweeper trucks in all parts of the city. During the day there are teams of people with their brooms made out of branches and their pans made out of used feta cheese cans. This is also a clear indication of city's commitment to recycle and reuse concept.

At the historic Underground Cistern, unlike what we learn in Mythology 101, it is safe to look at the Medusa's Face. Underground Cistern is about 2 minute walk from Berk Guest House.
